How the microbakery works

Willow Microbakery currently bakes to order every Thursday or Friday, with more days in the week coming soon. The weekend before the bake, we send an email that lets you know what breads are available for the next week.  If you're not on our newsletter mailing list, you can sign up below. Place your order via the shop here. Payment is taken online, or you can email via the contact page and place your order and pay on collection. If you want bread on Friday, you need to place your order by Wednesday evening.  If you miss the deadline, we often bake extra so do get in touch to see if we have a spare loaf for you.We bake your bread on Friday during the day, and can deliver to you if you are based in Shepperton with deliveries taking place between 4 & 5pm.  If you live outside Shepperton you are welcome to collect your bread from the bakery between 5.30 and 7pm (by prior arrangement).  Or we can deliver Saturday morning. We take payment when you order, or when we collect. You are not obliged to order every week, and you just pay for what you've ordered.

Our Bread

We bake different breads every week, but you can see our full range of bread and treats in the Product section (see how it works above).  We use wild yeast for our sourdough raising agent, and a long fermentation for the best flavour. For the breads that a wild yeast doesn't suit (i.e. sweet loaves) then we use a small amount of organic commercial yeast.

All our breads come in standard sizes of 500g (small) 900g (large) unless specified. A full list of ingredients is shown for each product, so click on each one for more information.

Allergens

Allergens are marked in bold for each product, most commonly these are wheat, milk, eggs, fish, soya, celery, nuts, mustard. If you suffer from allergies please get in touch. We work from a domestic kitchen where we handle allergens on a regular basis.  We are not a gluten free, or other allergen free environment.

Hand poured scented soy candles

I’ve been making my own candles for some time and realised it would be nice to add the candles to the bakery. Candles are generally so expensive, so these are recognisable scents that are more affordable but still with quality ingredients. I hope you enjoy them!
